Popular Ghanaian preacher, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, who has declared his intention to contest the presidency, has asserted that he is convinced about his victory in the 2024 general election.,
Speaking in a radio interview, Prophet Kumchacha said he would tap into the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for some of their best brains to run his administration.
According to him, he has penciled down NPP Kennedy Agyepong and NDC Sammy Gyamfi as potential ministers in his government.
The rest are ex-President John Dramani Mahama, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, Koku Ayidoho, Alottey Jacob, Dr. Kwabena Duffour, Akua Donkor, ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, and loud-mouth Kelvin Taylor.
For Kelvin Taylor and Koku Ayidoho, Kumchacha indicated that he would appoint them to assist the Office of the Special Prosecutor in its works.
He disclosed that he intended to appoint ex-President John Mahama as Ghana’s Ambassador to the United Nations (UN), whilst Dr. Kwabena Dffuour would be made a Minister for Trade and Industry.
He noted that Madam Akua Donkor had been booked to handle the portfolio of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, whilst Asiedu Nketiah will handle the Ministry of Sanitation.
The leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries took a swipe at critics of his presidential ambition, saying that “nothing happens physically without approval from the spiritual realm.”
He argued that even some former presidents never knew they would one day become president, intimating, “Even Rawlings, Kufuor, and others had humble beginnings and had no idea they would become Presidents one day.”
“Sometimes it’s not only about the physical but the spiritual. So those condemning my decision to contest the 2024 presidential should desist from such acts”, he said.
Questioning him on the reasons he thinks he is the right candidate for the country, Prophet Kumchacha said he believes in leveraging on his honesty, love for humanity and his general acceptability to annex the presidential seat.
Prophet Kumchacha his desire to develop the country makes him the most suitable candidate to lead Ghana, asserting, “Ghana needs somebody like me to lead it, and not NDC or NPP. I intend to run for President. There is no going back. I’ve chosen to enter the race,” he insisted.
According to him, the current economic hardship is evidenced by the NDC and NPP governments being clueless.
He pledged to reduce the country’s unemployment rate and promote the country through tourism, adding, “My goal is to create jobs for everybody, even graduates who need jobs.”
